[origin: DE4410730C1] Proposed is a servo-hydraulic swing phase control unit for an artificial knee joint. One end of the control unit has a head element (2) while the other end has a foot element which closes off a cylinder with a reciprocating piston (13) in it. In order to ensure movement-dependent control of the joint, the first and second spaces into which the piston divides the cylinder chamber are connected by a throttle duct (18, 19, 20) whose cross-section can be adjusted by a slide bar (21) as a function of the pressure in the two spaces (15, 16).
