Abstract (en)
The coupling arrangement consists of a pivot pin (22), a lateral attachment lug (32) for the visor (3), and a cam slot (41) for a sliding peg (42) fixed to the side of the helmet to guide the visor. It also has a rotary crank fixed to the pivot pin and engaging with an oval aperture in the lug to provide the latter with a rocking motion, and a handle (4) which allows the crank to be turned by hand. The synchronisation of the coupling arrangement is achieved by a cable which slides inside a sleeve (9) passing round the helmet between the two couplings and engaging with a rack (26) and pinion mechanism inside each. Each of the coupling adjustment handles is in the shape of a shell with indentations (54) for the finger tips.

Cette paire d'articulations permet un basculement de la visière (3) par rapport à la coque (1) du casque selon un mouvement complexe débutant en positon rabattue par une translation éloignant la visière (3) de la coque (1) du casque afin de la dégager d'un rebord ou d'un joint éventuel et se poursuivant jusqu'en position relevée par une rotation escamotant la visière (3) au-dessus de la coque (1) du casque. Elles sont synchronisées mécaniquement par un système de pignons (25) engrenant dans des crémaillères (26) reliées par un câble gainé et se manoeuvrent d'une seule main à l'aide de l'une des manettes (4) dont elles sont équipées. <IMAGE>
