[origin: EP0703021A2] The method involves erecting side walls (9) at right angles, while during punching out of the steel sheet, the base plate (3) of the nut section (2) remains connected to the retainer plate (5) via a narrow web (14). The base plate is bent around the web, and pressed down between the side walls, parallel to the retainer plate. The side walls are bent, until they cover the side edges of the base plate. This is separated from the retainer plate by cutting the web. Two webs (7,8) are punched out of the retainer plate, to limit the longitudinal movement of the base plate.
