Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0703028A1] A device is claimed for supplying an inert gas to the inner refractory nozzle (10) for a bottom casting metallurgical vessel (1). The inner nozzle (10) incorporates a vertical body (15) delimiting a casting channel (16), a base plate (17) and some means (19,20) for diffusing the inert gas in the casting channel (16). The device consists of at least one supply orifice (21) situated on the external face of the base plate (17) and connected to the means (19,20) of diffusion by at least one conduit (22) cut in the refractory material of the inner nozzle (10) and at least one connection nipple (25) connected to some means of supplying inert gas. It is supported by some means of chocking the inner nozzle (10) and designed to be applied against the supply orifice (21) by some elastic compression components (29).
