Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0703073A2] The drum has grip bridges each comprising a shaft with grips and an adjustable stop bar. These are evenly spaced round the drum periphery. The bars (18) are separately adjustable for height and depth, there being a drive mechanism (5) housed inside the drum trunnion (4) and fixed to the press frame (1). The drive mechanism engages in succession via a coupling mechanism (12) with adjusting components (15) actuated in succession. These are in turn coupled to positioning mechanism (16,17) for the individual bars. The drive can consist of a controllable electric motor, or a hydraulic or pneumatic system.
