A width drawing rod (1) is for scutching running textile material (6) and features a rigid roll body (2) equipped with bearing pins at its ends and a surface covering (5) located on the roll body (2) made of an elastomer. The covering (5) has notches (8, 9) which run diagonally to the longitudinal roll axis and are inclined from the inside outwards on both sides of the radial middle plane of the roll in relation to the relevant roll end. The notches (8, 9) provided on both sides of the radial middle plane (7) each take the form of uniform undercut coil running from the middle plate (7) to the outer roll plane.

Es ist eine Breitstreckwalze (1) zum Ausbreiten von laufendem flexiblen Bahnmaterial (6) offenbart, die einen endständige Lagerzapfen (3, 4) aufweisenden starren Walzenkörper (2) mit einem auf dem Walzenkörper angeordneten mantelförmigen Belag (5) aus elastomerem Material aufweist. Der elastomere Belag (5) enthält von seiner Mantelfläche (14) ausgehende, zur Längsachse des Walzenkörpers schräg verlaufende Einschnitte (8, 9), die beidseits der radialen Mittelebene (7) der Walze jeweils zu dem betreffenden Ende der Walze von innen nach außen geneigt sind. Die beidseits der radialen Mittelebene (7) der Walze (1) vorgesehenen Einschnitte (8, 9) sind in Form je einer von der Mittelebene (7) zum jeweils äußeren Ende der Walze verlaufenden unterschnittenen gleichförmigen Wendel ausgebildet. <IMAGE>
