Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0703177A2] The stacking device has a transport device supplying the sheets at a relatively high rate, spaced one behind the other and a transfer conveyor operated at a corresponding rate, for translatory movement of the received sheets to the stacking position at which they are acted on by a braking device(10). The transfer conveyor has a number of suction openings(18) and lies above the transport plane of the sheets, with the braking device lying below the transport plane and having a reception surface with a further set of suction openings(34).
