[origin: EP0703365A2] The compressor housing (1) contains at its ends interengaging, radially and axially supported helical impellers (2), forming a pair, which are oil lubricated in operation. On the pressure side, the impellar helices abut a housing front wall, contg. the pressure side housing delivery aperture. There is a pressure limiter (6) in the delivery section of the compressor. Pref. the pressure limiter is formed by a resilient, or reversible, support of the axial bearing (5) of at least one impeller in the compressor housing.
