[origin: EP0703512A2] The contact operating button is provided by a deformable section(17) of the hermetically-sealed injection moulded plastics watch case(12), which can be depressed for operating a spring-biased operating rod(19,19') acting on an electrical contact spring(28). The deformable section of the watch case is provided as a membrane, with the operating rod supported between it and the contact spring by a peripheral support ring(20) to which the operating rod is attached via a number of angularly spaced resilient tongues(32).
