[origin: DE4408740C1] A circuit arrangement for testing a multiple-cell battery has at least one measurement circuit at each cell for measuring variable physical or chemical values such as voltage and temperature by means of appropriate measurement sensors (22-38). An evaluation circuit (12-18) designed as a microcontroller is integrated in each measurement circuit in order to allow the values measured at each cell (2-8) to be independently evaluated and displayed. The microcontrollers are connected each to their own display device (42-49) designed as a pair of display diodes (42-49). A common independent current supply (53) makes the individual evaluation circuits independent from the state of the individual cells to be tested.
