Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0704398A2] The mechanism has a grip bridge (3) that bends elastically, being supported at the ends on the initial grip shaft and swinging to and from in the sheet transport direction. The grip bridge has pivoting grips and a cam roller working against a stationary cam adjustable in the frame. A central support for the bridge on the shaft (1) has a joint containing an eccentric (9). The roller (12) is mounted clear of the eccentric by means of an arm (11) accommodated on the latter. The eccentric axis can be situated centrally in a plane through the grip shaft axis and the bridge centre. The eccentric can be arranged to turn from a position against an adjustable stop and against spring action (18) under the effect of the roller on the arm coupled to it.
