[origin: EP0704604A2] The multi-part camshaft is multiply located in a crankcase in bearing shells of a bearing bridge. Each camshaft part piece (2-4) at one end (5) has a connecting flange (6) and at the other end (7) a bearing pin (8). In the operating state (1) the connecting flange of one part piece is releasably connected via flange screws (1,2) with a bearing pin of the connecting part piece (3). The connecting flange and the bearing pin are formed as a one-part forged component part with the camshaft part piece. The bearing shell (9) on the one hand in the operating state is securely held by a radially arranged screw-in bolt (11) in the bearing bridge (10) and on the other hand the bearing shell in the removed state of the camshaft part piece is axially displaceable with the screw-in bolt loosened.
