[origin: EP0704619A1] The fuel injection system is used with an engine having a valve operating device for operating the inlet and outlet valves rotated about a hollow lever axis (8) which houses the high pressure fuel reservoir (3) supplied by the high pressure fuel pump. The high pressure fuel reservoir acts as a common rail for each of the magnetically-operated fuel injection valves, supplied via respective fuel injection lines (16), with an oil line pref. extending alongside the high pressure fuel reservoir.
