Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0704627A1] The pump has an inlet (3), a pump space (4) and a tangential pressure connection (5), with the electric motor (2) enclosed by a mantle space (6), through which the pumped medium is circulated for cooling the motor. A rinsing connection (7) is provided at the opposite end of the mantle space to the pump, for connection to an external rinsing fluid source. When the rinsing connection is not in use it is fitted with a closure cap (8) incorporating a venting system (9).
