Abstract (en)
The clay blanks (6) are transported in firing trolleys (5) through a drying oven and then through a kiln oven. The kiln has roof sections (7) with height adjustment and which extend over the whole width of the tunnel cross section. Several roof sections are placed next to each other, along the tunnel length. The roof sections are suspended by cables (8,9) from the tunnel roof (3). The cables pass around rollers (10,11), and are operated by an external setting mechanism (12) which has a rack (13), spindle drive (14) and a hand crank (15). It can also have a motor drive, where the motors are synchronised in all the setting units.

In einem Tunneltrockner für die Schnelltrocknung von Tonformlingen sind in der Höhe verstellbare Deckenelemente (7) angeordnet, mit denen sich der Freiraum über dem Besatz des Brennwagens (5) einstellen läßt. Die Höhenlage der Deckenelemente (7) ist über Seilzüge (8, 9) von außen einstellbar. Die Deckenelemente können mittels einer Verstelleinrichtung (12) auf einfache Weise an die Besatzhöhe des Brennwagens (5) angepaßt werden. Damit lassen sich bei unterschiedlich hoch beladenen Wagen stets gleichbleibende Strömungsverhältnisse der von Umwälzventilatoren bewegten Trockenluft erreichen. <IMAGE>
