Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2690794A1] The amplitude modulation procedure involves decomposing the modulation signal using two signals (V1,V2) having equal amplitude and opposite phase. The two signals are phase modulated by the modulation signal, and are added to produce a resultant signal (VS), modulated in amplitude. The modulation circuit includes an adder (5) coupled to two amplifiers (3,4), and outputting a signal to a filter (6). A control circuit has two digital oscillators which are connected to the adder inputs via the amplifiers. USE - Solid state power transmitters using MOSFET technology. Flexible control of output power. Improved precision of signal amplitude. Has reduced power output mode.
