Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0705788A2] The filling process for bottles (7) takes place in a filling system with a filling element (1), issuing aperture (12) and fluid channel (10) with fluid valve (16), and at least one gas path (13). The washing in the pre-handling stage consists of a first wash and a later second wash, done entirely by steam. The first stage of each wash consists of evacuating the bottle, then introducing a preset amount of steam. This takes place independently of the power supply driving the filling system. A final evacuation takes place after the last wash. The introduction of the steam is time-controlled.
