Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0705968A1] The piston has circular cylinder bushes, with a piston floor and a piston shaft (8) closed in a peripheral direction at least over a part of its axial length. The piston is forged and during operation of the engine is cooled by spray oil. One of the ribs (11) between the bolt eye (13) and the shaft wall is outwardly displaced relatively to the opposing rib (10) engaging on the same bolt eye. The two ribs of the other bolt eye have the distance from a central plane (E) vertical to the bolt axis.
