[origin: CA2166277A1] The invcntion concerns low-alkaline agents for use in dishwashing machines, the agents containing builders which are readily biodegradable. These readily biodegradable builders are copolomers synthesized from the monomers of a monoethylenically unsaturated C3-C8 carboxylic acid, a 2-alkylallysulphonic acid or 2-arylallylsulphonic acid and a carbohydrate, preferably saccharose.
