Abstract (en)
The mineral wool mat is used as a substrate for growing plants. The thickness and weight of the mat (10) are such that it can be wound into a roll ready for use in greening over a roof etc. Its thickness can be between 2 and 3.5 cm. and its weight between 30 and 80 kg/m<3>. A bottom water-permeable supporting layer (12) can be included. This is made typically of cloth or coarse meshwork and glued to the mat. A thin layer of gravel can be applied to the top surface of the mat.

Eine hygroskopische Steinwollmatte (10) zur Verwendung bei einem Vegetationselement für die Begründung von Dächern oder dergleichen ist hinsichtlich ihrer Dicke und ihres Volumengewichtes so gering bemessen, daß sie zu einer Rolle aufrollbar ist. Gleichzeitig ist die Steinwollmatte (10) mit Pflanzen (14) vorkultiviert und begrünt, so daß sie ein Fertigprodukt bildet. <IMAGE>
