Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0706771A2] The system comprises similar basic modules (2) joined together to form variable shapes. Each module comprises a thin-walled flat cladding component (4) detachably secured to a hollow tubular supporting column (3). Adjacent columns are joined together by a stabilising strip (6). The joint to the column can be formed by an inserted plug (5) in the central plane bisecting the column. Screws (3a,3b) passing through the column can be screwed into the cladding component. The stabilising strip can form a support for the counter surface, above which the column can protrude vertically. A second supporting surface (8) can be detachably secured the column above that (7) of the counter.
