[origin: EP0706844A2] The appts. for deep drawing of sheet metal comprises a machine frame (1), a table (6) provided with a blank holder (7) incorporating a holder ring (8), a top tool (13) with drawing ring, and a drawing punch (5) which passes through the table (6) and forces the blank clamped between the ring (8) and the drawing ring into the top tool. The top tool takes the form of a shuttle (10) which is displaceable between the drawing position within the machine frame (1) - in which it is aligned with the drawing punch (5) - and the ejection position outside the machine frame, where the workpiece (16) is ejected downwards. Loading of the shuttle with blanks takes place on the side of the machine frame opposite to the ejection position, or at a right angle to this position.
