Filling mass is placed in a press mould (7) with projecting core spikes (11) where it is compressed by a ram (5) and the blank is shaped by removing the spikes and the mould. Before compression, the spikes are raised above the height of the filling mass in the mould and during compression, they are moved back. The spikes may be raised to the mass level before filling a directly after filling, raised above the level. They may be set to oscillate during filling, compression and removal.

Zum Herstellen von Hohlbausteinen wird Füllmasse (M) in eine Preßform (7) mit hochragenden Kerndornen (11) eingebracht, dann mittels eines in Kerndornrichtung wirkenden Preßstempels (5) formgebend verdichtet und schließlich der Formling (F) durch Ausziehen der Kerndorne (11) und Abziehen der Preßform (7) entformt. Um Hohlbausteine mit schmalen Stegen und engen Hohlkammern und unterschiedlicher Kernmaterialdichte erzeugen zu können, werden die Kerndorne (11) vor Beginn des Verdichtens über die Füllhöhe (H) der Füllmasse (M) in der Preßform (7) hochgefahren und dann während des Verdichtens wieder zurückgezogen, wobei die von unten in die Preßform (7) einfahrbaren Kerndorne (11) in Durchtrittsöffnungen (15) einer am Preßstempel (5) sitzenden Preßplatte (14) eindringen. <IMAGE>
