Abstract (en)
The support system uses a series of reversible triangular wedges (7), made from a material with a degree of elasticity. Both upper and lower surfaces of the wedges have locking heels to engage with the surface of the pallet (2). The wedges can be made from a relatively rigid thermoplastic or thermo-setting material, or from natural or synthetic fibres embedded in a matrix of a thermo-setting resin, or from wood particles compressed in a resin. The upper and lower surfaces of the wedges are slightly concave in shape and the locking heels on opposite sides can be of different heights.

Dispositif pour caler et soutenir une charge (1) sur un support plan (2) comprenant une face supérieure horizontale de réception et d'appui de cette charge, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte une pluralité de cales (7), réversibles, dont la section par un plan perpendiculaire au support comporte une forme générale triangulaire, réalisées en un matériau présentant une relative élasticité à l'encontre d'un effort d'écrasement sous le poids de la charge, chaque cale comprenant une partie en pointe (9), disposée à la manière d'un coin entre la face horizontale du support et la surface inférieure de la charge et au moins un talon d'autoblocage (11a, 11b), propre à coopérer avec une butée d'arrêt (12) ménagée dans la face supérieure du support, les cales étant de préférence mais non nécessairement associées deux par deux en regard, afin de reprendre les efforts exercés sur ces cales par l'appui de la charge. <IMAGE>
