[origin: EP0707120A1] The sealing strip is its middle area is formed into a fixed edge strip (12) and in its edge areas into fixed edge strips (18,20) with a fold-forming structure. Between the middle strip and the edge strips open-pored aerating areas (14,16) are formed. The edge strips are folded in corrugations and for fixture to the roof covering plates (32) are provided with adhesive on a section of their side facing the plates. As adhesive hot glue and/or butyl are used. The foamed plastic on the side of the aerating area facing the middle strip is rounded. The middle strip and/or the edge strips is/are pref. 2 mm thick. The aerating area is pref. 2 cm thick. The sealing strip in cross-section is symmetrically formed to the longitudinal axis of the ridge board. It is a soft foam with open pores, partic. polyurethane, polyether, polyvinyl chloride, phenol resin, soft PVC, aminoplastic or other foamable plastic.
