Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0707290A1] The method involves writing confidential data in a protected zone (11) which belongs to a module (8) of a data processor system (1). The protected zone of memory is accessible for reading/writing by the internal processor (9) of the module, but inaccessible to at least a write action from an exterior module. The data transfer is made using an analogous protected memory zone (27) of a portable device (21) having a similar structure to that of the module. The portable device is placed in a reader (6) of the data processor. The data (K) and/or the programs (P1) are transferred from the portable device protected zone to the module protected zone.
