[origin: EP0707332A1] The relay has a coil core (14) carrying a relay winding (24) and attached to a L-shaped magnetic yoke (12) at one end, the other arm of the yoke having a magnetic armature pivoted about a given axis (32). The length of the coil core between the bearing surface (16) contacting the yoke and its opposite end face is determined in dependence on the position of the armature pivot axis relative to the bottom surface (34) of the magnetic yoke, for exact positioning of the pivot axis relative to one of the coil core pole faces (22).
