Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9502544A1] A padded flat-bottom bag made of paper coated with plastics inside has two rectangular flaps (14, 16) inwardly folded from both narrow sides of the rectangular bottom and two triangular or trapezoidal folds (26, 28) formed by folding the flaps and that start from the broad sides of the bottom and are folded upwards and glued onto the flaps (14, 16). An inner lock (30) made of the same material as the bag and formed by a rectangular sheet is glued from above on the inner end areas of the flaps (14, 16) and folded downwards around the lateral edges of the flaps. The padded flat-bottom bag is characterised by a continuous seam (40, 42) that extends along the edges of the broad sides of the bottom and that solders the upwards facing plastic coating of the folds (26, 28) to the downward facing plastic coating of the downward folded ends (32, 34) of the inner lock (30) and outside of the inner lock to the downward facing plastic coating of the triangular surfaces (18, 20, 22, 24) that join the flaps (14, 16) and the folds (26, 28).
