[origin: EP0707902A1] The rolling mill consist of two uprights (11,11') with working (2) and pressure rollers between them, each working roller having a shaft (21) with bearings (22) held in place by chocks (4). Between each of the chocks and the adjoining upright there is an intermediate element (6a,6b) interacting with a corresponding guide face (13a,13b) on the upright. The intermediate elements can slide relative to the guide faces of the uprights, and one intermediate element at each end of a roller has a lateral thrust member (7). The rolling mill also incorporates retaining members of variable thickness to ensure proper alignment of the rollers.
