Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0708008A1] The attachment hook consists of an attachment body (10) which extends transversely on one side of the cable (9), and carries a suspension link (11) to carry the load. The jaw for gripping the cable consists of a fixed jaw (13) carried by the body of the attachment, and a moving jaw (14), linked to the fixed jaw. A control lever (17) attached to the fixed jaw is used to control the opening and closing of the jaw. A pair of compression springs are arranged symmetrically on each side of a primary plane and assist the operating lever in its closed position. One of the stops for the springs is attached near the end of the control lever, opposite the mobile jaw. The other stop is attached near to the fixed jaw, so that the two springs extend in a second plane perpendicular to the first. The distance in the second plane between the points of attachment of the second stop is greater than that at the control lever end.
