[origin: EP0708021A1] The packing process is for groups of filled tea bags formed into a row, to be put in a box. The tea bags (1) are brought together on a plane which is horizontal or angled to the horizontal to form the row (2) of tea bags in a vertical position to form a vertical stack to be pushed into a box (19) coaxial with the stack. If the bags are assembled on an angled plane, the fixed row of bags is turned about a horizontal axis, so that the individual bags are upturned relative to the row and fixed. The turning motion may be in a backward direction. After bringing to the vertical, the row may be shaken to pack it down.
