Abstract (en)
The control system uses at least one setting element (110) for regulating the quantity of fuel supplied to the engine. A first control stage (130) calculates the required fuel quantity in dependence of a given operating parameter and a second control stage (120) responds to the calculated fuel quantity and a second monitored parameter, to provide a setting parameter for the setting element. Pref. a plausibility check compares the required fuel quantity and the operating duration of a magnetic valve supplying the required quantity of fuel, to provide a fault signal for indexing a fault counter, when the required fuel quantity is zero and the operating duration of the valve is above a threshold value.

Vorrichtung und Verfahren zur Steuerung einer Brennkraftmaschine, insbesondere einer Dieselbrennkraftmaschine, mit wenigstens einem mengenbestimmenden Stellglied. Eine erste Steuereinheit gibt abhängig von ersten Größen eine Kraftstoffmengengröße QK vor. Eine zweite Steuereinheit bestimmt ausgehend von der Kraftstoffmengengröße und weiteren Größen eine Stellgröße für das Stellglied Die zweite Steuereinheit meldet die Stellgröße an die erste Steuereinheit zurück. Die erste Steuereinheit vergleicht die Stellgröße und die Kraftstoffmengengröße miteinander auf Fehler. <IMAGE>
