Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9531606A1] The proposed walking surface for horses, in particular for riding areas, and the method of producing the same are simple and inexpensive, ensure strength and good water regulation and allow horses to walk safely. To that end, a lattice board layer (63) made of interconnected floor lattice boards (1) is laid on the foundation soil (50). The floor lattice boards (1) consist of a plurality of contiguous cells in a honeycomb structure. Each cell has a floor opening in a closure base, a cell wall diameter approximately equal to the diameter of a horse's hoof (100) and grooves situated approximately centrally on each upper edge of the cell walls of each cell. Tread layer material (61) which is applied to the lattice board layer (61) fills the cells and forms a layer which is simultaneously a tread layer, support layer and separation layer (62, 64, 65).
