[origin: WO9502109A1] A window comprising a frame (1) defining an opening in which each of a number of slats (4) is secured to a bar (3) having two end pivot members (9) engaging bearings in the jambs (2) of the frame. The jambs (2) have a U-shaped cross-section and define a vertical recess in the side of the frame for housing a motion transmission assembly consisting of a vertical link (6) to which connecting rods (8) attached to the pivot members (9) are hinged. One of the two motion transmission assemblies is secured to a non-reversible motor assembly arranged in a housing (26) and provided with a handle which can be operated to cause translation of the link (6) and tilt the slats (4) to open or close them.
