The component (2) comprises one or more clamping members (16) which are inserted between the inner (20) and outer (3) halves and secure them together. One of the halves can have an abutment (14) on the side towards the pane, and against which the member bears. The abutment can be parallel to the pane edge and formed by a protrusion, and the inner and/or outer half can have a concave surface (36) partly accommodating the clamping member. There can be a locking lug (30) on the side of the outer half towards the pane, and with which the inner half engages.

Die Erfindung stellt ein Profil (2) zur Verfügung, welches an einem Rand einer Platte (26), insbesondere einer Glasscheibe montierbar ist. Das erfindungsgemäße Profil (2) zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß ein an der Platte (26) zu befestigendes inneres Profilelement, ein das innere Profilelement (20) im wesentlichen umfassendes äußeres Profilelement (3) und mindestens ein in einen Zwischenraum zwischen innerem (20) und äußerem (3) Profilelement einbringbares Klemmittel (16) vorgesehen ist, wobei sich das Klemmittel (16) derart am inneren Profilelement (20) abstützt und am äußeren Profilelement (3) anliegt, daß es das äußere Profilelement (3) am inneren Profilelement (20) verspannt. <IMAGE>
