A process comprises using a washing machine comprising: (a) a rotating drum for the washing, (b) a motor for driving the drum, and (c) a device for the display of a rotation speed signal. The loading stage is determined by an evaluator circuit in accordance with the vibration behaviour of the speed signal during the reversing cycle in a first program cycle. Also claimed is the washing machine.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Ermittlung einer von der Wäscheart und der Wäschemenge abhängigen Beladungsstufe in einer Waschmaschine. Daneben betrifft die Erfindung eine Waschmaschine zur Durchführung eines solchen Verfahrens. Um eine möglichst genaue Bestimmung einer von der Wäscheart und der Wäschemenge abhängigen Beladungsstufe in einer Waschmaschine mit einer drehbaren Trommel zur Aufnahme von Wäsche, mit einem Motor zum Antrieb der Trommel und mit einer Vorrichtung zur Anzeige eines von der Motordrehzahl abhängigen Drehzahlsignals, insbesondere mit einem Tachogenerator zur Anzeige der Motordrehzahl oder mit einem Meßwiderstand zur Anzeige des Motorstromszu erreichen, bestimmt eine Auswerteschaltung die Beladungsstufe in Abhängigkeit vom Schwingungsverhalten des Drehzahlsignals während des Reversierzyklus in einem ersten Programmabschnitt, insbesondere im Vorwaschprogramm oder im Hauptwaschprogramm. <IMAGE>
