Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0709526A2] The machine consists of a chassis (8) which can travel lengthwise above the trench by means of a propulsion system, a hopper (9) for the filling material and a system (11,12) for riddling the material and tipping it into the trench. In front of the riddle/tipping system the chassis has a support for a reel (21) and applicator roller (22) for an information and warning strip (15) which is laid in the trench on top of a first layer (13) of a filling material laid over the pipe or cable (3) placed in the bottom of the trench. The reel support has two hooks, a rod and a scraper blade, and can incorporate a guide frame (28) and rollers for a cable (16) laid adjacent to the pipe (3).
