[origin: EP0709631A2] The freezer (10) has a heat-insulating housing (12), enclosing at least one freezer space (13) which is cooled by an evaporator and de-frosted as required. The water resulting from de-frosting is collected at the base (15) of the freezer space and led to a discharge pipe (17) extending through the base of the heat-insulating housing, with a discharge line (22) at its bottom end. The discharge line is coupled to the bottom end of the discharge pipe via an inner element projecting from the base of the discharge line at its inner end to fit within the end of the discharge pipe, for providing the flow coupling between them.
