[origin: DE4422420A1] The invention relates to a spinning apparatus with a bobbin, fastened to a rotatable spindle, for receiving the thread. The latter is grasped by a centrally arranged thread guide and is guided, within a rotationally symmetrical element mounted in a freely suspended manner, to a second thread guide rotating together with the element. It is guided from there to the bobbin and, during the relative movement between the bobbin and element, is wound on the bobbin. According to the invention, the rotationally symmetrical element is tubular. It is held, on its part surrounding the bobbin, by means of a radially active and axially passive magnetic bearing and, on the end face confronting the oncoming thread, by means of a radially stable and axially unstable magnetic bearing. Furthermore, sensors are provided for recording the axial deviations of the element from its desired position as the measure of the changing thread pull and are followed by an electronic device.
