[origin: EP0710554A2] The printing plate changer is mounted vertically displaceable opposite the printing mechanism by straight guides formed as telescopic guides (3). Each telescopic guide comprises relatively movable rails (4,5,6) and each one rail is attached to a frame wall of the printer (1) and the other rail is attached to the printing plate changer (2). The rails are mounted to move over interposed rolling bodies. A traction gearing with cables looped over rollers and operated by a lift drive is used to move the printing plate changer.
