Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0710559A2] The positioning drive uses a brushless DC electric motor (1,2), preceded by a positioning control which compares the actual position with the required position for controlling the electric motor. The motor includes a rotor position indicator (3) and cooperating sensors (S1,S2,S3), providing signals used by the commutator control (4) for the motor and as the actual position signals for the positioning control. Pref. the motor is coupled to the positioned element via a play-free drive.
