Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0710799A2] The liquid waste fuel is injected into the hot current (4) of flue gas using one or more two-component nozzles (6). The nozzles have a component in the form of a fan-shaped flat jet at right angles to the main direction of flow. At each two-component nozzle, in alternating rhythm, a fan-shaped spray with relatively large and far-range drops, and a fan-shaped spray (7) possessing a flare angle of 60 to 160 deg. with relatively fine, short-range drops, are produced. The temp. of the flue gas current is at least 800 deg. C, and its oxygen content sufficient for complete oxidation of the burnable products.
