[origin: EP0710812A1] In the rear of the vehicle there is a loading or unloading opening which is accessible from behind. On the inside of the roof plate of the turret between the rear end of the weapon and the projectile magazine a crossways running guide is fixed on which a slide is displaceably guided. On the slide is fixed a support arm extending downwards into the turret interior. The length of the support arm (1) is so dimensioned that its lower end is located above the rotary bearing (L) for the turret. On the turret there is a support arm extension (3) extending downwards into the interior of the vehicle in such a way that in a predetermined position of the slide (2) the lower end of the support arm connects directly to the upper end of the support arm extension. A shell loading device (11) moves along the support arm into its extension.
