[origin: EP0711826A2] A process for the prepn. of cleaning agents in the form of foam blocks is claimed. The blocks comprise 50-400 pts. wt. (A); 50-400 pts. wt. (B); 10-400 pts. wt. (C); 1-10 pts. wt. (D); up to 150 pts. wt. water; and opt. other standard cleaning agent components. (A) are alkali silicates; (B) are alkali hydroxides and/or (hydrogen)carbonates; (C) are alkali phosphates; (D) are phosphoric acid partial esters. The process comprises reacting (D) with an aq. soln. of (B), followed by the addn. of the remaining powdered components whilst stirring and/or kneading to form a foam, and then processing the foamed mixts. into small moulds and leaving them to set. Cleaning agents prepd. by this method are also claimed.
