[origin: EP0711963A1] The refrigeration device has at least one refrigeration space cooled by a plate evaporator (16) connected in a refrigeration circuit (10) using a hydrocarbon-based refrigeration medium. The circulation channels for the refrigeration medium have a cross-section allowing a higher volumetric flow than that employed for a refrigerant with a fluor-hydrocarbon, or a fluor-chlorohydrocarbon base, except in the vicinity of the evaporator where the flow cross-section remains unaltered.
