Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0711967A2] The pressurised hydrocarbon-rich fraction (1) is cooled and liquefied by heat exchange (E1,E2,E3) with process streams which are to be heated, and is expanded into a storage vessel (S) through an expansion valve (b), whilst the boil-off gas (7) from the storage vessel is compressed in one or more stages. The throughput of the compressor (V) is maintained constantly at a max. by regulation of the opening of the expansion valve by a flow controller (F). The pressure downstream of the expansion valve is kept constant.
