Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0712140A2] The switch has fixed contacts each in electrical connection with a tap of a step coil of a tapped or step transformer. The switch has two movable selector contacts in each phase to be switched. The first selector contact can be connected to a load shunt via a first vacuum switch (SKV). The second selector contact can be connected to the load shunt via a series connection of at least one switch-over resistor and a second vacuum switch (HKV). In the rest position the first and second selector contacts lie on the same fixed contact. In each phase, a high frequency oscillator (S) is electrically connected as a transmitter between the two vacuum switches (SKV, HKV) on the side away from the load shunt between connection points (A, B). At least one high frequency receiver is arranged in the region of the stepper switch and is in connection with an external comparator unit. The receiver is arranged such that high frequency signals from the oscillator (S) can be received.
