Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0712263A1] The hearing (1) aid has a signal path from the microphone (2) via an amplifier and transmitter unit (4) to the hearing device (3). A neuronal structure (5) is associated with a data carrier (6). Signals (8) from one or more pick-up points (7) are transmitted to a module (9) for signal processing. The processed signals (10, 10', 10'') are sent to the neuronal structure which generates control signals (11). The control signals are used to select a parameter of the amplifier and transmitter unit stored in a data memory (12) in the signal path. The parameter may also be used to change the characteristic of the amplifier and transmission unit.
