[origin: CA2168669A1] A shooting head for a core shooter for shooting foundry cores or moulds has an opening at the inlet side to which a filling device or a damping head for sealingly applying compressed air may be selectively connected. The filling device has an outlet element that dips into the shooting head and pridefulness the filling level. At the outlet side, the shooting head has a shooting plate with shooting nozzles. In order to automatically produce core packs when the difference in weight between the individual cores is extreme, a core sand guiding system extends inside the shooting head substantially from the lower edge of the outlet element submerged to its deepest level in the shooting head or from the filling level defined by the outlet means up to the shooting nozzles.
