[origin: WO9533625A1] An archiving system is disclosed comprising modular archiving units (1, 6, 7, 37, 38, 41) for storing and filing dossiers documents and similar items. The system is based on main stackable base boxes (1) which accommodate files, drawers (37), archive boxes (41) and the like. All the archiving units (6, 7, 37, 38, 41) in the system are compatible with a base unit in the form of a base box (1) with uniform dimensions which accommodates standard files, and the modules of the archiving system including the base module are formed from an integral flat cardboard blank.
